I didn't know this jewel existed until recently. Ralph Court, at Edwyn Ralph near Bromyard in Herefordshire, has no less than twelve themed gardens, taking their inspiration from places, legends, myth and children's stories. All the gardens are accessible for wheelchairs and children's buggies, even the tree-top walkway.
This is a great place to combine family fun with photography. There are surprises at every turn and a mischievous sense of humour pervades the whole scheme. But this is no tacky novelty. It is a beautifully designed series of gardens with elements that will take your breath away.
My particular favourites? The Africa garden and the Italian style garden with its fountain dancing to music (opera of course).
Warning - there is a strong possibility that you will encounter pirates, wild animals and even a fire-breathing dragon!
